Little Elm TX Council Contestant — Oppose Apartments Near Upscale Homes

Linda Brantley believes that all politics start local and is asking Little Elm residents for “Your vote to be Your voice,” on the Little Elm Town Council. Brantley is running for the At-Large Place 6 seat in the upcoming May election.

Brantley is opposed to the council’s recent approval of the rezoning of three tracts of land for apartment complexes along Farm-to-Market Road 423. She believes that those properties should remain zoned as “commercial” to help lower property taxes.

“The homes nearby are zoned single family (upscale) housing,” Brantley wrote on her campaign website. “The addition of an apartment complex would cause property values of the homes in this area to drop.”

She also said that the apartment complexes would cause an impact on the schools, traffic, police and fire services.
