Fort Collins, CO – Opposition to the Grove contradicts city’s needs

A recent Soapbox suggested that the Grove, a proposed student-oriented development close to Colorado State University is inappropriate for our community.

This point of view is contrary to the recently adopted Plan Fort Collins, which identifies affordable housing, energy efficiency and green transportation among community goals. It is also contrary to the West Central Neighborhoods Plan, which articulates a vision for this area of town. This plan recommends higher-density student-oriented housing be built close to campus while being compatible with the surrounding neighborhoods.
